Conflict Mediation

• Community Mediation – With a trained pool of over 50 certified volunteer mediators, DRS provides dispute mediation services to the families and neighborhoods of Springfield. Cases involve family, neighborhood or juvenile conflict.
• Court Referred Mediation – Serving primarily the District Courts of Hampden County, DRS offers court complainants and defendants the opportunity to mediate prior to the scheduled court hearing. Quick, convenient and effective, mediation offers these disputants the opportunity to work out their own agreement, rather than being forced through a long court process that might not satisfy either party.
• School Mediation – For the past several years, DRS has been helping area schools resolve the growing problem of conflict between students. Working with schools, courts and community groups, DRS mediators have resolved complex disputes, avoiding potentially violent explosions of student conflict.
• Real Estate Mediation – Acting as the exclusive provider of mediation services to the Hampden Court Board of Realtors, DRS gives buyers and sellers the opportunity to work out any dispute or claim relating to the purchase and sale process and to avoid being forced into court.
